It is not about anything at all
When we truly are honest with
ourselves, we know deep inside that it is not about anything at all. It is not
about money, it is not about material things, leverage life style, sex,
attention or even “swag”. It is all about truly being happy from the inside
out. None of the above mentioned things can make you happy from the inside out.
Life is bigger than us, it is bigger than we can ever imagine. As humans we
make mistakes of forgetting how precious and short life is, by focusing much on
things that we should not. We all are emotional beings, we have emotions, and
we have hearts, souls and spirits. We go along in life harming the inner us, damaging
the core of our happiness. We take all our focus and we put it on the material
things of this world that we forget to feed our souls. We turn to sell our
souls and use our bodies in all the wrong ways to obtain the material things from
the wrong people in all the wrong ways, ways that will finally hurt us and
catch up with us in near future.
We get ourselves involved with
the wrong people for all the wrong reasons and turn to have expectations from
our involvement. When things turn sour we blame the people we involved with
that we feel our souls are broken, forgetting that we are the once got
ourselves in those situations. Humans are the once making it difficult to live
in this world. In today’s life, if you are down and out the world becomes
unbearable to live in, especially in the cities.
Have you been to rural
areas? Places where you would look around you speak to the people and actually
feel a sense of happiness within the people, because they do not have any
unnecessary pressures that would lead to the wrong doings and regrets. Not to
discourage success but to encourage happiness within oneself and experience to the colorful side of life.
Most of us can smile and admit to
being happy when somebody asks, while we know we are not. I walked and drove
all the streets of Johannesburg, I looked around and I saw happy faces, I
looked through their eyes, I saw uncertainty, I spoke to them, I saw great
sorrow, I saw broken souls. I saw young people longing for what is not theirs,
hustling to get there wrongly, and climbing the ladder of success with folded
arms forgetting they might fall anytime. As women, we must have morals and we
must retain that dignity. We must not have male Hip-hop artists, rapping the
worst of us; we must not have men talking the worst of us. We are South African
woman and we have power remember? We have an opportunity to enter in to any
kind of carrier field we desire, only your high determination, commitment and
hunger for success needed.
There is no need to use your body
and sleep your way up or get yourself a sugar daddy that you do not even love
but has money. A sugar daddy that will touch you and hate it, the one that you
will be scared to tell him he is hurting you when he roughly shags you. I do
not think you want that kind of experience in your life. You need love,
surrounded by happiness and topped off with peace of mind. That is what life is
really about, that feeling of complete happiness from the inside out. That
feeling that most of us last experienced in our teenage years, that honest
affection you would have for your cute teenage boyfriend. That feeling you
would get that will make you want to get out of your bedroom window and run to
him when you at home and away from him, that when you see him, you get stomach
butterflies and that you want to hide, when he touches you, you want to melt
down, that when he holds you closer to him you get scared to look at him in the
eyes and yet you want him to squeeze you tight, that when he kisses you, you
want to run away with him and elope at 14.
Life is not about the material
things of this world it is all about the happiness in you, the happiness that
should reflect on your face with a glowing heart-warming smile, and then the
rest will follow. With that kind of a feeling at heart, that is when you will
feel much alive...#
